Hello phoenix community,

Rowan and I came to the conclusion that we want to inform all of you better about what we actually decide/change and/or talk about in our admin meetings. Now, we won't promise you a weekly "Phoenix magazine subscription". We do only give you updates when there is something to talk about. That also means of course, that even if we discussed something, it might not show up here since it is about internal or confidential affairs. Also be aware that you do not have a voice here, the suggestion section is for that, this topic is for output only.

Kind regards,

Bridge Troll

Admin meeting of the 16.10.2016

Your suggestions

Suggestion - Help Rule Adjustment

We denied that suggestion. If you know players around you, they should be able to help you, even if you are the aggressors.

Making warnings visible to the general player

As it seems with the current state of the webpage's CMS software, it is not possible to change that as suggested here.

Suggestion - Adding Insignifiant Items [Shop]

We know that not really anything happened there, however, once Avenger has the time from his personal life this will be a thing.

Suggestion - Weekly/monthly Phoenix meetings

This will be a very unlikely thing, however now you got this topic as kind of a compensation

Recent "laziness" in stating names in complaints

It has come to our attention that recently more and more complaints actual did not really follow the required template. Instead of the names, people post "Above" in the complaint itself, referring to the names in the title. It is not big of a deal for you to actually just copy the name from the title and put it in the post itself, however, yes I already hear you screaming, it is not a big deal for us to do so. It is petty from both sides. Yet some of our admins only use the complaint post to solve it, leaving them without the names in the title.

So we would kindly ask you to start using the template correctly again, otherwise admins can mark your complaint as [INVALID]. Thank you.

New admin rule

To prevent admins from "hiding" in the logs by using different names etc., admins to the rank of a TA/GA have to login with tags, no matter what. There can be exceptions, but are very unlikely. We hope to actually avoid a lot of awkwardness around the higher admins checking the logs and questioning the affected admins for log passages that seem to stick out in a strange way. It is annoying for us and it is annoying for the game admins.

Disruptive behaviour towards admins in complaints

Admins approached us with this matter. If you see an admin dealing with a complaint, do not attack him at all, including kicking and punching. Also including bumping the admins with horses. I am pretty sure most of you are aware of this, so please don't do that in the future. There is nothing to say about banter with admins, but please not in complaints. Admins may kill/fade or temp ban you in case you just can't help and do it anyways.

Admin meeting of the 12.11.2016

New admin positions:

Tommy and Henricus were promoted to Senior Admin and Sorry Ceasar was promoted to Trial admin. I also want to welcome a new member to the staff team, congratulations Enok.

Re-iteration of the council:

Some members of the council are actually very inactive, so there will be some players removed. Yet also some new clans that came to phoenix recently will have a place there. Also to remind you, in case you do not have a spot in the council yet you do have a clan, message me.

Suggestions:

Encourage niceness

Obivously a good aim to follow and actually recently, in the past week, it almost seems as if the overall interaction between players, especially on forum complaints, tends to be positive. Thats a very good start to this suggestion.

Forum maintanence team

This suggestion will be denied. All admins are bound to forum work, therefore we do not need a special group to do this. There is, to those who didn't know, a report function on the forum. If you see someone breaking forum rules you can of course report them to the admins and we will have a look at their post. this pretty much makes the work of the "forum maintanence team" obsolete.

Thanks for reading.

Kind regards,

Bridge Troll

Admin meeting of the 19.11.2016

Webpage shop update:

Avenger recently updated the quantity of items you are able to store, they are now doubled for all items. You can see that if you hover over your desired item and look at Max in Inv:

33dd5dcc3d08063dacdea5ed8c033429.png

New rules:

Recently cases were brought up to the admin team, involving members of the enemy faction spawning in at the castle's bannerpoint to capture it, while the whole faction was out on the siege. As this is not the point of a siege and is an absolute frustrating move towards the enemy faction, we will disallow this from now on.

In addition, we adjusted the demanding rules. You are no longer allowed to tell someone to speak in local chat, analog to the global chat rule. We experienced the same "killbaiting" behavior in local as it was back then in global, therefore we respond with the disallowance of this.

Suggestions:

encourage refunds

Nothing will change because of this. In general the admins decide whether to allow a refund or not, as in the end it often goes clear if it was a mistake or not. Of course we do support the idea that players actually get along with each other without having to punish someone, yet that is not the case, therefore the admins have to decide that on the cases individually. I guess this suggestion was overall only ment to be a platform for discussion, therefore I still addressed it.

suggestion ban reasons

Of course there could be improvements to the player tab, for instance what Tommy said on the topic. For now, it will stay as it is. The admins put informations into the ban reasons that are not determined to be seen by the user, therefore we cannot openly show them at the moment. In addition, you can just ask any admin to look it up for you or write an unban appeal, that is one of the reasons why they exist.

That is more or less all that happened this meeting. Have a good remaining weekend, see you on the server.

Kind regards,

Bridge Troll

Admin meeting of the 17.12.2016

"Too" long wars between factions:

Recently it was brought to the admin team that wars were lasting too long, forcing the clans to stay on without having an "active" war. One suggestion that could've been implemented was a timer, restricting how long a war can last in addition to a cooldown after the last peace. However, it was decided that the current war rules are fine as it is. That is because even the so called "pleb" factions, which are the focus of this suggestion, have to put forward valid push attempts, regarding their numbers. If other factions complain about them only pushing with single nakeds or without a banner, the factions are encouraged to report this of course. No changes for now regarding this matter.

Keeping Clan boards consistent:

The Clan board section of the forum was recently neglected by the staff, therefore a lot of old and outdated clans or topics were still on that section. We hope that due to more active administration and maintenance of this forum section, the clans that have boards there are more attractive towards new forum users, as now it does not appear as a "spam" section anymore.

Promotions and new admins:

Merek, Pepsi and Zaira were promoted to Trial Admin. Good luck to them in the Trial Period. Trial admin Enok served his trial period with success and was therefore promoted to Game Admin. Congratulations!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year:

This was the last admin meeting in this year. In advance, the whole staff team wishes every Phoenix Player Merry Christmas and a happy new year. Have a relaxing Christmas vacation and we'll see you in 2017 again.

Kind regards,

Bridge Troll

Admin meeting 18.02.2017

New regulations regarding the forum

As most of the players that get warned on the forum repeatedly don't even care about it, repeated offenders of general forum and complaint section rules will be issued an in-game punishment, consisting of a bank wipe or if nothing else helps, even further punishments.

In addition

No more refunds will be accepted from players that are not involved in the complaint itself. While there are special cases this can be allowed, it will be generally denied from now on. A refund is a form of light punishment. If someone else gives it for the one who actually did wrong, it completely fails its purpose. Also there were cases where the actual accused person did not even respond on the complaint itself.

While we appreciate that you want to help out others, please no more "...take 200k from my bank. even tho I am not involved...". From now on, please refrain from offering refunds for a complaint you were not involved in.

Suggestions:

http://pw-phoenix.com/forum/index.php?/topic/8225-suggestion-making-warnings-visible-to-the-player-who-have-it/

We'll see if the actual software of the webpage actually allowes this to happen. Nevertheless, complaint rules are absolutely clear. I dare to say that 90% of the complaitns about receiving warningpoints can just be answered with a simple link to the complaint rules.

http://pw-phoenix.com/forum/index.php?/topic/8529-suggestion-torture/

I you want to "rp" with something like that, ask the player beforehand.

I apologise for the lack of recent news, we had other, more important issues lately. They shall now come more often.

Kind regards,

Bridge Troll

General news

Community Rules

If you haven't already seen the new community rules announcement, it's your best call to read them now as their validity is already in place since the 13.03.2017 . While most of its content is just rewritten rules from the server rules and the forum rules, new stuff was added. The idea to actually merge them together under a Community rule set is to prevent some of the confusion people pretend to have as it comes to their punishment as well as a recent accumulation of instrumentalized "personal harassment" complaints in addition to the scope they now include, which is the whole community and everything that influences this community. While we would actually see and enforce personal harassment in a quite different light and way, the recent complaints and actions inside the community force us to have the topic of harassment strictly regulated as there is no other way for us to have a peaceful togetherness, which is quite frankly a sad fact.

From now on there cannot be anymore excuses to what you've done or not, as the now implemented regulation is clearly formulated. Any attempt at loopholing will be punished equally severe.

Complaint Format

As this was brought up by admins, I want to ask you all for a well-meant favour, to please consider the required date and time on the complaints as the post itself does not always display the actual times and date of the complaint. Data in the format of "above", "5 minutes ago", "a day ago", "just now" etc. won't help us and won't help you as the admins most likely won't find your requested incident due to the wrong or corrupt time/date. Also have a lookout for the timezone, this tool might help you GMT time zone converter

General on complaints

In addition, since it was brought up to me by some players recently: If you get reported, your obligation is not to pick out individual statements by the one who reported you but to first of all tell your prespective, including hints for the admin to search for in order to prove your innocence. There is no use if you react to complaint itself but don't give any vital informations.

If you fail to give those informations and the complaints therefore gets ruled in a negative way towards you, it is your own fault and the complaint will not be rolled out again.

A complaint may only be re-opened if the admin actually gave a wrong verdict, based on the information he had present at times, but if you don't tell the admin where to find evidence for your side, his present information obviously won't contain your requested evidence. So please, stay calm and civil, even if the complaint might be written in a provocative way and just give the informations the admin needs to help, there is no use in arguing over the facts anyways if the admin hasn't given any yet.

Thank you for reading.

Kind regards,

Bridge Troll

Harassment

This is going to be the last and final, friendly reminder to all of you out there who feel the need to put unnecessary and personal stuff onto any phoenix platform, which again includes everything that relates to this community or might be traced back to this community.

If you display/share references related to personal information, like pictures or memes, where the targeted person did not explicitly gave permission to present them, you will be punished. I hate to be the one who is going to stop your fun, but it is getting out of hand and I am sick and tired of banning players because they apparently "didn't know" or have any other excuse present.

If you cannot control yourself, don't be surprised if you are banned, starting at 5 days for first offence.

Regards,

Bridge Troll
