Instead of making another thread, comment below which type of event you suggest that server logs.

I will tell whether it is possible to implement it, so it can be taken into consideration.

Log types currently implemented in the mod:

  • Logs for hits on shields
  • Inventory transfer logs (owner faction's name, instance id)
  • Money bag logs
  • Money chest logs (owner faction's name, instance id)
  • Hitting/repairing chests or doors (owner faction's name, instance id)
  • Hitting ships (instance id)
  • Dropping items on the ground by pressing G (instance id)
  • Picking up items from the ground (instance id)
  • Attacks on players, players' horse, animals and rogue horses (weapon's name, agent id)
  • Healing logs
  • Looting from corpses (name of the corpse's owner, instance id)
  • Looting gear from drop containers from the ground (name of the dropper, instance id)
  • Equipment logs of log ins and log outs for refund requests
  • Kicking/outlawing from faction (names of kicker and the kicked) (it also shows a message so you know who kicked you)
  • Looking into carts (instance id)
  • Capturing castles (castle name, capturer, faction name)
  • Reveal money pouch to nearby players or to one player
  • Connect/disconnect logs

Log types planned to be implemented:

Log types that were suggested but dismissed:

  • Drawing and sheathing weapons or shields (too many logs)
  • Buying horses and items (too many logs)

@Saptor Do you log the instance ID of something someone bought. This means if someone steals it before you have the chance to pick it up, it will show who it belongs to in the logs.

When you buy, it is spawned on the ground and then you pick it up, which is logged with its instance id.

It doesn't automatically pick it up. So someone could steal it before you have picked it up. You wouldn't know who the stolen goods belonged to.

Ah sorry, understood it wrongly. It does not log it currently but can be implemented. @William

All of them would be nice and the ability to toggle certain ones when searching the logs. Perhaps some ticky boxes

I like how this thread has been directed at the general community though, 99% of which don't actually look at the logs. I want to see EVERYTHING

That's more of an admin panel feature, rather than a module feature.

Yeah, I know. How else are we meant to access the server logs, which the thread is about?

We're not developing an admin panel currently. Server Owners will have to do this themselves.
